The Diamond, 43 Franklin Street (btwn Calyer and Quay)

This bar has been a refuge from the offensive heat many times this summer. They are dog friendly, have an awesome pickle plate, $3 Reissdorf Koelsch, outside seating including an old apple shaped ski lift, and games like an indoor shuffle board table. The art is quirky and seems to have no definite aim other than to make you feel like you’re in a comfortable place. The music is always good too which can be attributed to the nice bartenders. The events are pretty interesting too, like Women’s Arm Wrestling Competitions or screenings of Twin Peaks. The bathrooms are single stalls but there are more than one and they’re very fucking cool, with old cassette tapes covering the walls and plenty of TP. I give it 5 flushes.

This is my hood. And I think if youre too old to bend over and pick up your dog’s poop, or simple are busy carrying 2 kids on a sling, then dont have a dog. Straight up annoying.
