Legion. 790 Metropolitan Ave (btwn Graham and Humboldt)

Considered by many to be Union Pool’s little sister, Legion is positioned for greatness, open late and conveniently across the street from White Castle. I can count the times I’ve been to Legion on one hand and that still feels like too much sometimes. Its just hard to resist the Jack and Lionshead combo after a tough work day. You can sit there and listen to convos about VHS tape collections and doggies wearing visors and sunglasses. Sometimes though the patrons can get a little tipsy, resulting in an impromptu, ecstasy fueled robot dance party in the back room. Its hard to tell what kind of night you’re gonna have. The bathroom door is almost in the middle of the dance floor, knocking it straight down to 2 flushes. Its rusty, dusty, and graffitied, as is to be expected. Plenty of space for a group of friends to “retouch their makeup”.

That should read ‘shoot you in the head’. Not ‘hoot you in the head’.

White Castle. 781 Metropolitan Ave. Brooklyn, NY

I dont think I really need to say too much about White Castle. Its cheap. There’s not too much variety so its easy to order. Its good after drinking or for breakfast (which happen simultaneously sometimes). And they open late and sometimes 24 hours a day. Its perfection. To get into this bathroom you have to be buzzed in by someone,  probably preventing pukers and other riff-raff from trashing it. Its a single stall but its huge and private and there’s room to dance. I give it 4 flushes.

30 burgers for $14.99. You cant beat that with a stick.
