I am posting this after over a year of actually being here. But I remember pretty clearly that it was a really nice place, probably because my brain had one less year of tarter build up and things absorbed better. Swiss cheese brain aside, the place has floor to ceiling glass doors that were open at the time. A couple of guys were roasting a whole pig a big drum kettle on the sidewalk, which was quite a sight. The food was great. See the pics of the Croque Monsieur and Berliner Currywurst after the jump. The bar goes along the main wall, leading down to the bathroom. Your spirit guide to the toilet is a menacing looking wooden dude. Theres a couple of stalls in there and pretty large. I give it 4flushes.

From the outside, Diner doesn’t look like much. Actually, the inside is pretty grimy too. But the food. oh man. Don’t go here if you have bad short term memory. They change the menu so much that they never bother printing it so the waiter/waitress just recites it to you. But luckily most anything you order will be a good call. And don’t sleep on the dessert (see tiny pie pic below). And while I’m giving out advice here, beat the crowd and arrive before 7:30pm.

To find the bathroom, head past the bar and it will be at the end of a tiny passage way/maze. Its ancient and kinda smelly, which is ok if you plan on making some waves in there. Its kinda spacious too so that’s a bonus.

So I heard this place closed down. Not surprising. It was as shady and gross as possible. The day I was here taking these pics there was a big group meeting up, of which one of the guys came up to talk to my friend. When we asked what they were celebrating he said a friend of theirs died and they just came here to talk. Pretty much sums it up.

I’m working on putting together a map of all the bathrooms up in this tumblr. Its kinda fun I guess but Im no where near done. And I have like 30 bathrooms I still need to post first, eventually. So far Ive managed to eff up the page that links to it from the tumblr page but thats ok. No ones perfect!
