Cascabel

Cascabel (1542 2nd Ave btw 80th and 81st)

This place has the best guacamole Ive ever had. In my life. Not exaggerating. But I’m not a food critic. I’m a bathroom critic. To get to this bathroom you must use a door that leads to an apartment’s foyer. You’ll walk past the mail boxes and stairs and find the mens’ and ladies’ rooms. Usually I don’t like single stalls, but these work. I give it 5 flushes, my highest rating to date. Its quiet, clean, & stocked. (Notice the lucha libre theme. You can buy little luchador toys and other funny things.)

Heartland Brewery Union Square

Heartland Brewery (35 Union Sq. W. at 17th Street)

Twin sinks. Twin toilets. You have to walk up the stairs, all the way to the back, past the huge beer fermentation tanks. Its pretty straight forward stuff. Ill give it 4 flushes for privacy and cause after 4 pints you’re happy to see any bathroom.

Fanelli's Cafe

Fanelli’s Cafe (94 Prince Street at Mercer)

Not only is this probably the worlds smallest bathroom, its also the third oldest bar in NYC (they have the licenses to prove it). The walls are covered in old boxing posters with the likes of Joe Louis and Rocky Marciano. My chicken club was amaznuts and helped me survive the Soho shopping mob. There was, on average, 2 ladies waiting in line for the bathroom at all times because, of course, its a single stall. I give it 2 flushes for ridiculous size and long line.

Benjamin Restaurant and Bar

Benjamin (603 2nd Ave, at 33rd Street)

Im busting out throwbacks today. I went here the day after Halloween of 09, hence the one pic before I knew what the deal was with this blog. Great brunch spot after a night dressed as a Ninja Turtle. The reason for the 3 flushes rating is simple: 1. Its a single stall and 2. you have to walk past the kitchen and the entire staff to get to it. I appreciate the potpourri basket though.

Brickyard

Brickyard (785 9th Ave, btw 52nd and 53rd)

What can i say about the Theater District other than I avoid it at all costs? This place came highly recommended by the peeps I was with. The owners have a second spot called The Courtyard in the old Sunnyside hood, which Ive been to and enjoyed. Its been over a month since I actually went and took these pics at Brickyard. But I’m still sharp as a tack, despite my advanced age. The food was good. Beer was better than good. The bathroom was also good. As you may know from previous posts, I am not a fan of the single stall bathroom so that explains the 4 flushes rating.

I forgive your lack of tildes, but what up with your lack of apostrophes?

Here are the apostrophes I owe you

La Pequena

La Pequena (Brooklyn, 85 S. Portland Ave., at Lafayette)

Ok so forgive my lack of tilde, I cant add it. That or accents. La Pequena is an excellent place if youre hitting up the BAM or the Brooklyn Flea or Target. Im a sucker for Mexican, but honestly this was nice food. Next time, I’m checking out Moe’s, the bar around the corner.

I admire that the bathroom, while small, was well stocked, including matches. The restaurant as a whole is cramped, but in a cozy way. Honestly though, the toilet is about 5 centimeters from the actual customers eating their chimichangas, so please dont drop a deuce without those handy matches. 3flushes.

I'd totally eat chocolate soft serve out of a toilet in Taiwan.  → funfever.blogspot.com

I wonder what the bathroom at the restaurant looks like.

will you post a scale explaining your flush system? how do you decide between 4 flushes and 2 flushes, for example?

Mayhaps. Someday. But right now, its, like, my opinion, man.

Auction House

Auction House (300 E 89th street at 2nd Ave)

Sometimes you get lucky and find a spot thats not an annoying sports bar or a pretentious lounge. This place is there. Youre kind of confused and so is everyone in there, but the drinks are cheap and the chairs are comfy.

I wish I had a penis so I could have checked out one of the 2 mens’ rooms but my partner in crime says there was only a urinal, no toilet. Interesting. The ladies room was really red and grimy. I felt scared and excited. 2 flushes.

No toilet peper! a guy tweeted in Akihabara :-) → smt.blogs.com

gavinpurcell:

This is a real funny story. A guy going by the handle “naika tei” on Twitter went to the “Yodobashi camera” electrics store in Akihabara and used the bathroom on the 3rd floor….

how come other tumblrs let me comment without a disqus account but you don't?

Because of the theme they chose, I think. Also, they are probably smarter than me.
